KyberVision Unveils Psykinematix 1.5, GPU and Bits#/Display++ Editions v2.0

Psykinematix 2.0: The world most advanced software solution for visual psychophysics!

SENDAI, Japan — August 3rd, 2015 —KyberVision Japan LLC unveiled today several major updates of Psykinematix, its Mac OSX OpenGL-based software dedicated to visual psychophysics.

Psykinematix v1.5 Standard Edition is an incremental free update with many bug fixes, improvements, and new features. This version remains fully compatible with Mac OS X 10.4 ("Tiger") to Mac OSX 10.10 ("Yosemite"), and still runs on both older PowerPC-based and newer Intel-based Macintosh computers.

Psykinematix v2.0 GPU Edition takes advantages of the computation power (GPU Computing) available in modern graphics cards. Their computation power is harvested without any additional work from the end-user: built-in and custom stimuli can be generated on the fly and in real-time hence minimizing the amount of required video RAM and freeing the CPU for more important tasks.

Psykinematix v2.0 Bits#/Display++ Edition is the result from a fruitful collaboration between Cambridge Research Systems (UK), Namoto Trading (Japan) and KyberVision Japan LLC: it brings support for the Bits# Stimulus Processor, Display++ LCD Monitor and accessories from Cambridge Research Systems which specializes in bringing to market the best hardware solutions for vision science. Psykinematix v2.0 is fully compatible with Mac OS X 10.6 ("Snow Leopard") to Mac OSX 10.10 ("Yosemite"), and runs only on Intel-based Macintosh computers.
