I did my PhD thesis on the modelling of the vertebrate retina in the early 90's, then worked for a few years in the field of bio-inspired sensory systems in the electronics and microtechnology industry (VLSI silicon retinas for computer vision and prosthetics applications). Over the last decade or so, I have been investigating the human visual system in the fields of visual psychophysics and computational neuroscience first at McGill University as a post-doc and research associate, and then more recently at KyberVision, the company specialized in vision sciences I founded in 2004 and located in Montreal, Canada.
