I did my PhD thesis on the modelling of the vertebrate retina in the early 90's in Grenoble (France), then worked for a few years in the field of bio-inspired sensory systems in the electronics and microtechnology industry in Neuchâtel (Switzerland) (VLSI silicon retinas for computer vision and prosthetics applications). Over the last 15 years or so, I have been investigating the human visual system in the fields of visual psychophysics and computational neuroscience first at McGill University as a post-doc and research associate, and then more recently at KyberVision, the company specialized in vision sciences I founded in 2003 and located in Montreal (Canada) until 2014, then relocated in Sendai (Japan) from 2015.
